TheCarConnection: 2008 Ford Taurus

Ford Taurus is manufactured by one of US top car manufacturer Ford Motor Company and has become a strong brand over the years with its first car being manufactured and released on 1986. Ever since that it made quite a mark in the US car market. However as competitors increased especially with Japan car manufacturers entering the market, the Ford Taurus lost its place and was later discontinued in 2006. Although the car was discontinued, similar models were released by Ford, the Ford Five Hundred and the Fusion.

In an effort to revive the Taurus brand again, Ford used the new facelifts intended for the Five Hundred and Ford Freestyle to Taurus and Taurus X. For all the Ford Taurus fans out there, Ford will be making the all-new 2010-Taurus available to public by July 2009.

I will be discussing about the 2008 Ford Taurus review a little bit by TheCarConnection. The car looks like a robust and solid car, although not much of a looker’s car. The engine is a 3.5 litre powered by a Duratec V-6 which delivers 265 horsepower. The engine being a more powerful engine that the Ford Five Hundred. Taurus is not supposed to be a sports car, it’s a cruising sedan, a car you can just drive at a constant speed and just relax, that’s a Taurus, and so the engine specs work. The transmission is smooth though while downshifting, the car jerks but you could get used to it.

That’s the car anyways, the review is very informative, although it still lacks more information about the car. Also the regular use of reference, kind of loses the appeal of the review. I like the other stuff of the review. Things like the estimated car price, dealers’ price quota, the local dealer store and many more. Something that I noticed was the “Bottom Line”. It gives the overall view of the product, the pros and cons of the car, so worth checking.

Overall the car has a long legacy even though it had its downturns, the 2008 Ford Taurus is a great American car as for the review if you want to know the brief idea and make a decision read the bottom line.

Storesonline Ecommerce Solution

Ecommerce is something we all come across once a while browsing the net and I too did come across an ecommerce site, Storesonline Ecommerce Opportunity. Well to tell you the truth, I was wondering whether setting up an ecommerce could actually be a good opportunity. Anyways from the site I could realize that they are dedicated to the small owners and entrepreneurs who are starting an ecommerce business, say for instance me if I did ever start one.
Anyways let me tell you more of Storesonline Ecommerce Opportunity. Once the site has completely loaded, it looks presentable, has a simple structure which I like and the colour scheme is not bad. Overall the site is clean not such of a hassle to browse however the site is still in development cause I could only view the homepage. They have three simple steps to get your online store started which are Gather, Design, and Publish. Basically to start, you need your logos, pictures, product information then they have a point and click website designing tool where you would not require knowing any sort of programming and finally publishing the website into the Internet.
They have other features such as building your own store, merchant services, special offers, design gallery and finally domain registration. They also provide training services where they provide CD/DVDs to help you train yourselves. They also have an online help system to support customers in a step by step procedure.
Well I would like to finish by saying that I like the website; they have what it takes to help customers but have to wait till they are done updating their site completely.

Thoughts.com, a blogging service

I recently came across a site which basically allows you to create blog for free or your own personal online journal for those who use it as a journal. Its called Thoughts.com. Some of its features are uploading pictures, videos, podcasts. It also a chat in community forums, and basically you have the option of bookmarking the latest news. Other than this they also have something called the ThinkTank which is used to send feedback to Thoughts.com so that they could improve their site.

It gives the users options of sharing their posts if it public, friends or families. Out of all that it provides free unlimited bandwidth, which is quite common when providing blogging services. The site has the basic structure say for instance the popular posts, random posts, recent blog posts, news, photos and videos. Interesting thing I have noticed about this site is that they have a page called “Charity.” Thoughts.com wanted to give something back to the people and basically they have provided links to certain charity communities like Amnesty International, Heal the Ocean and National Alliance to End Homelessness.

Let me discuss more about the site interface. The site overall looks simple, which I like hence does not give the user a sense of being lost. The colour and font size suits the site. It has a moderately good navigation system so you won’t have difficulty going from one page to another.

Overall I like the site name Thoughts.com, nice site layout, and it’s a blogging service.

HDPE Scrap

Nowadays scrap is a common thing in our lives. You have scrap metal, scrap plastic, scrap rubber and so on. However today I will be discussing about scrap plastic. Scrap is products that can be recycled for further use. As pollution is a problem and since plastics are used in every day to day product the need of recycling plastics is important. In case of recycling HDPE plastic is one of the largest plastics recycled. What is HDPE? Its full form is High Density Polyethylene. Did you know that HDPE actually comes from petroleum!

Raw polymers Ltd. are in the business of collecting or purchasing various types of plastics from different type of industries. On the other hand HDPE Scrap are in the industry of distributing and sourcing Scrap HDPE. I have said that HDPE plastic is quite familiar so where are they actually used. They are used in many packaging applications as it protects the product from water and chemical resistance. It is also used like a film in snack food packages and cereal box liners. As HDPE is widespread, providing recycled HDPE will be frequent. These two companies are protecting the environment by recycling HDPE plastics and since plastics are harming the environment such as producing land and water pollution. Tons of plastics are dumped in scrap-yard with other waste products, although there have been projects to isolate the plastics so it makes it easier to process them. So next time you when you use plastics especially HDPE you will know it has been recycled.

WebHostingSources.com

WebHostingSources, a website dedicated in providing top web hosting providers. Some of you can guess that it is like a directory containing a list of companies which provides web hosting services. They have two main categories one is Linux/Unix Hosting and Windows Hosting. Under each category there are more options which make it easier for those of you to find out what you are looking for. For example in their Linux/Unix category, it is divided into three parts, the Basic Web Hosting, the Database Web Hosting and the Advanced Web Hosting. For instance if you are looking for database web hosting, by selecting the database web hosting, WebHostingSources provides a list of web hosting companies providing database hosting. You also get information such as how much money each of the hosting companies charge, the services provided by them and so on. The same goes for the Windows Hosting. WebHostingSources also provides a list of Domain registrars, services and tools.

Other than hosting and domain registration, WebHostingSources also offers an inventory of services and tools required for you to run a website. Let me name such tools and services. They are Advertising tools, Affiliate tools, Billing, Email, Forums, Shopping Carts, Website builders, Website design and many more.

WebHostingSources have been active since 2002 and so far what I see that the links provided are quite good, making it easier for you to get what you want rather than the hassle of searching. The site is not flashy, it looks simple and that’s what I like.

DigitalFramez-Digital Photo Frames

The age of digital photography has brought newer technology on our hands. What is it? Have you heard of digital photo frames? A company Digitalframez.com provides you digital picture frame digital frames, lcd digital photo frame. They have four different frame sizes which are 7”, 8”, 9” and 10”. The thing I like about a digital frame is it being an lcd screen.

How do you view your pictures? Well firstly you take pictures via your digital camera. Then remove your memory card from your camera and insert it into the digital frame and voila, you can view your pictures. You can then view your pictures as a slide show which you can control via a remote control. All frames are compatible with JPEG, MP4, DivX, AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, MP3, WMA, WAV formats. You can also play movies on these digital frames. It also has built-in speakers so you can also listen to music. For those you want privacy can use a headset slot of 1/8”. The five in one card reader supports CF/XD/MS/SD/MMC cards. There is also a 9V adapter that comes with the frame, so all you have to do is plug it into an electric source. There is useful software available on their website such as picture resizing tools. If your picture is large and does not fit the digital frame then use the software to make it fit.

Price ranges from $99 for a 7” frame to 199” for a 10” frame.

Smorty-New to the blogosphere

I recently came across another site which advertise on blogs and is called Smorty. This site was launched early this year hoping to attract both bloggers and advertisers. They follow the same concept where advertisers pay bloggers to post thoughts, opinions about a specific service, site, and product with link back to the advertisers’ site.

Both advertisers and bloggers benefit from using this service. For advertisers is a scope to increase search engine rankings and to get targeted blog advertising. For bloggers it is quickest way to make money. I signed up for Smorty some two days and got my blog approved today. They take 48-72 hours to get your blog reviewed. After that you sign in our account. When I did I already had three offers waiting to accept.

How much do they pay? Well there minimum stated in there is FAQ is $6 and go to up to $100 per post. But that will depend on several criteria. The common criteria are Google Page Rank and Alexa Rankings and the others are set by Smorty. There is also a fixed number of word limit where there minimum is 150 and maximum is 400. Payment is made weekly through Paypal where after submitting your review there is five day waiting. Once approved you are to get paid within that week or the following. They also have an affiliate program. Since I just started I cannot say much about the affiliate program but from I see for every affiliate you refer you make 5% per sale.

Blog Review

I have seen thousands of blogs, numerous to say and I recently found a very different blog. The blog is only two months. For a two month old blog its archive is big. The author posts daily sometimes twice or thrice a day. So it is rich with content. He also has some interesting posts which will make you laugh. Ok you still don’t get it. The author basically talks increasing rss subscribers. He also discusses about various making money schemes for bloggers such as paid posting, reviewing and other such topics. There are also some personal posts. The blog design is clean and simple. He also creates contest on his blog.

Most bloggers have heard about Technorati’s Top 100 Favorites especially in Money Making Online with DoshDosha very popular scheme to boost your rankings in Technorati and to increase viewer-ship. In this method people just keeping on favoring each other in Technorati. In this blog ,the author created a new type of technique. I have not heard of such a method of increasing visitors. He called this method the “Feed my Feed”. The concept is new and simple. The object is to add a subscribe rss link of your blog friends below each post including your one, creating a link-back. The author does quote “Just imagine if 10 people would do this and then 10 more after them. That would get your blog 100 extra linkbacks and 100 extra feed subscribers!”

The most important of this concept is link-back. The more rss subscribers you get the better your ranking in Technorati and Alexa. This is because sites such as ReviewMe, Text Link Ads, and many more price blogs using these rankings.

I have never heard of such a concept and to me this idea is magnificent and I am too thinking of using this to increase my rss subscribers.

Personal Blog Review

Recently I signed up for ReviewMe although did not receive any reviews until today. This will be my first review so wish me luck! This review will be about Website Promotion, Affiliate Marketing and .Net Development Blog. The title of the blog is “Life, the Universe and the Internet and its description “My ramblings about making a living on the internet and life in general”. The blog recently got ranked by google as PR4 which is not that easy. This blog as mentioned focuses on posts related to web promotion, affiliate marketing and .net development. It also differs from this, since the author being a movie fan writes reviews for ReviewMe

The site design and color schemes are simple giving the content the focus. I liked the design very much as I prefer a clean blog. The categories which the author talks about are affiliate marketing, bargain hunting, blogging, caravan, CSS, films, gadgets, general, money making, programming, ReviewMe reviews and finally web promotion. To me the content seemed empty. Being a blog created on April 2006 I would have expected more. One thing I learnt from my two years experience in the blogosphere, that content is king! There are some posts which reflect his life so it has a personal touch.

I extremely like the way the author review products for ReviewMe. From the beginning of the post to the end, everything is nicely arranged and placed according to its position. He gives descriptive thoughts on both good and bad. I saw the author comment on his blog that even-though the pay is less for the review, he gives his level best and produces a magnificent review.
