Article number 4 was printed on August 27 2003. It's caption "Wasting city wetlands."
By the picture you can see how dirty this lake looks like.The reason for these are industrial waste, sewage, encroachment of lands. People who live on these waters are mostly fishermen and many of these people are getting ill due to the contamination in the water.
Our home, Earth is surrounded by 3/4 of water and 1/4 of land mass. We are lucky that the water percentage is high because the way we humans have been polluting these lakes, rivers, seas, oceans from the age of civilization, we still get water to drink. REALLY LUCKY!!!
One day might come when there is so much nuclear or toxic waste in the water bodies that we will instantly get fish out radioactive hilsa fish but we wont be able to eat it.
