Scientists converge in Paris

The long anticipated major report warning that the Earth will keep getting warmer and humans active role in global warming will be released on Friday at Paris. It is said that the Eiffel Tower will go dark for five minutes on Thursday night hours before the release of the report. Pressure is building on UN Secretary Ban-ki moon about the deadlock between world leaders on cutting greenhouse gases.

The earlier draft of this report indicate that there is stronger evidence of human activity and specific predictions of rising sea levels and temperature

Why darken the Eiffel tower for 5 minutes? Are they trying to save on the power bill? Is it symbolic?

I read an article a few weeks ago about an Italian scientist who developed a form of concrete that eats greenhouse gases. Maybe they should commission a plan to use this instead of just sitting around talking about it.
